I have a job!!!
Well it has taken a bit of time going through the usual hoops of recruitment agencies and consultants, but I finally have a job. It wasn't one from any of the agencies that I registered with, but through someone I knew out here (Kristine Daniels for those in LTSB who remember her).
She kindly forwarded on my CV to a few people in ANZ and as a result from the 20th March I will be Snr Product / Project Manager, New Product Development, Commercial Cards. Bit of a mouthful, but it should be a great role, and something a bit different.
My start date also allows me to get used to having time off, with about a week and a half of holiday before I begin (after all it has been nearly 8 months since I last worked).
We met up with Nathan and Leah (Nathan is son of Chris and David, our fine hosts in Perth) last night and went to China town for a good fill up.
Tonight I have a hot date with a guy call Paul (Kearney - another ex-LTSB). We are off to see Rocky. Not really Rella's cup of tea.
And this weekend is Labor Day weekend so we have a bank holiday. There are about 10 of us heading to a place called Venus Bay. Apparrently good surf, fishing, walking. So we'll load up the Bongo with a few slabs of VB and see what it has to offer over what looks like will be a fine weekend.

Hi Ed & Rella
Have had an emergency here as yesterday Lucy was told she could not fly with 3 children, 2 being under 2. So to cut a long story short Gran-gran is coming to Aus on the 15th March as well!!! Not sure where we are staying, probably her Mum and Dad's, (48 Dixon Street, Malvern 3144, Tel 03 95090746) but have your phone and address. Will contact you in Melbourne and would love to see you. I am returning on 6th April and her Mum or sister flying back with her on 20th. See you soon, wth love Lu xx

Hi Ed,

Congatulations on the job, sounds very posh! Your weekend sounds fun, hope you have a wicked time! Hope the job isn't too boring for you Rels! Speaking of gyms, i have been hitting it hard recently, Ben's personal trainer gave me a free session this morning, he had me doing squats with weights of 40kg on! Needless to say my butt is still numb! Going for dinner tonight with Lau and Marth which will be nice. It is beginning to warm up here slightly now, no longer need hats and scarfs! Martha's flat is coming along nicely and she should make a tidy profit now house prices have gone up again!! Anyways, enjoy your weekend and i hope the job goes well, lots of love Laura xxxx

Congratulations!!

Sounds like a good position Ed!! :-) :-) Great work!! Make the most of your last week in "freedom"...

I am sure with a little patience you will find something you would like to do as well Rella..(My best advice: aim at a job you really want and show up at their office instead of waiting for an invitation for an interview (bring CV, dress up and ask for the boss, preferably a male.. he he) :-)

Will soon be on the lookout for a new job aswell..

Big hello to Lauren and Rich, whish you success with nest searching!! I am sure you will find something that you really like eventually!

Just back from our mind blowing trip to Abu Dhabi and starting to settle in in Paris (We are living in marais close to Pompido in the popular gay area.. Actually Vegard is really popular here and we have an S&M shop on the ground floor of the building.. he he)

Big hug Helene...

Hope everything is well with bossy cow and big boy too.. doing any wine shopping in France this year?

Anonymous Gyda says:Hei Ed and Annarella, great to hear about Ed's job, congratulations. Hope your papers arrive soon Annarella. Hope also that you don't mind my using your blog to send a site address to Elsa, I don't seem to be able to send messages to her directly. If you go onto MSN Elsa and use this address, you should be able to get onto "My Space" to view photos of Kjølsdalen. They are numbered. http://gydy2007.spaces.live.com/default.aspx?_c01_blogpart=myspace&_c02_owner=1&_c=blogpart Hope this ploy works. If not Helene will just have to show me how to DV pictures when her project is finished on Thursday. No luck with Tor, think his telephone may be blocked when he is using his computer. Love Gyda
